Lehrer McGovern Bovis
Location: New York, NY
The 45,000 sf offices at 200 Park were designed to support the vision of Peter Lehrer where everything selected must relate somehow to the construction industry. The carpet resembles concrete. The wallcovering looks like corrugated cardboard. The plaster columns are built to illustrate how plaster and lath are assembled to create the enclosure. The ceiling is open aluminum grilles with lighting and building systems coordinated between and above the panels. The desks are made of wood panels with metal trim.
The board room has an enclosed diorama, activated when one enters the room, with a Segal inspired sculpture of a construction worker immersed in the city of buildings built, renovated or owned by LMB, now Lendlease.
