Liberty National Clubhouse
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Lindsay Newman was chosen by Paul Fireman, former Reebok CEO and owner, to design the clubhouse for his Liberty National golf course located in Jersey City, NJ.
The brilliantly conceived golf course required a building of equal measure. The eighty thousand square foot building is sited on a promontory with views toward New York City, New York Harbor with Lady Liberty, and the expansive shoreline golf course. The clubhouse is one of complete luxury with every need addressed. The main entry is flanked by the white lacquer pro-shop and guest waiting. There are two bars, one to serve the dining and lounge and the other to accommodate golfers after completing the 18 holes. The top floor library is used by members for smaller private meetings and quiet respite. The adjacent terrace provides shaded alfresco dining throughout the golf season. The lower level locker rooms are appointed with enduring stone and wood with the spa at the core. The men’s locker room has a framed view of Lady Liberty. The women’s locker room has a beautiful lounge area adjacent a vanity area made of limestone and glass. One’s experience at Liberty National is one of graciousness and understated opulence.
